Volunteer Program | Lisa Walker & All the Jewellery

Volunteer at RMIT Design Hub Gallery as part of our upcoming jewellery exhibitions Lisa Walker: She wants to go to her bedroom but she can’t be bothered and All the jewellery (29 January – 4 May).

Gain valuable skills, develop new networks and expand your knowledge in a broad range of design fields. Volunteers are essential to RMIT Design Hub Gallery’s exhibition program, assisting with the day-to-day running of our spaces as the public face of our exhibitions space.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to engage with the work of internationally-renowned New Zealand jeweller, Lisa Walker. She wants to go to her bedroom but she can’t be bothered is a retrospective of Lisa’s unique research practice that continues to query the tools, methods and materials for making jewellery, and how it appropriates and transforms its multiple influences.

Volunteers will also assist with All the jewellery, a series of free workshops tackling key questions about contemporary jewellery. This concurrent exhibition brings together a community of jewellers, gallerists and collectors and those in the professions that support jewellery-making into a weekly conversation.
